Extensions are not a bad thing, but they should be done in the most efficient way to reduce short and long term costs and maintain the benefits of your cloud solution.
How?
We would like to install a small piece of software into your current system, ideally in your production environment or a copy of your production environment. Don’t be afraid. This software component simply collects some technical data related to your extensions, modifications and integrations in a container that still resides in your environment. Once the data is collected, you will be able to browse the data and view the contents.
If you agree to share the data with us, you can then download the data to your file system and send it to us for in-depth analysis.
We analyse the data you provide us with to cluster and classify the different extensions. We let you know if meetings are needed to better understand the purpose and use of the extensions, or if the extensions are self-explanatory. If such meetings are required, we will schedule up to 2 meetings to share a catalogue of questions to be answered. You should allow 2 hours for each meeting.
We technically review the extensions as well as the application processes for which the extensions are built.
We compare this information with the standard feature portfolio and do a mapping to the standard features and future API’s/UI’s to come up with concrete proposals.
